We are seeking a Live Event & Audio-visual Industry Account Executive to generate sales of event production elements such as AV technology, event production, creative, and custom scenic services for live, virtual, and hybrid corporate meetings and events. The ideal candidate has a strong background in live event industry sales, an active client base, and a genuine desire to contribute to the overall management and success of projects. This senior-level position offers a salary and commission commensurate with experience.
Who You Are:
- Passionate about business development, cultivating sales relationships, and searching for new business
- Successful in selling event production services and audiovisual support
- Have an active client base
- Comfortable communicating with all levels and functions of an organization, particularly in the live-events industry
- Self-motivated with a competitive attitude
Responsibilities:
- Generate new prospects and follow up on warm leads
- Ensure the highest level of client satisfaction with project oversight from pitch to final billing and client post-show measurement
- Manage the full sales process from prospecting to established business
- Complete client proposals for full event services including AV technology, event production, creative services, digital event services, and custom scenic services
- Create timely sales reports and demonstrate accountability for monthly sales goals and performance
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in corporate meeting, trade show, event management, or similar industry
- Ability to develop and manage RFP and proposal processes, manage tight project timelines, vendors, and budgetary requirements of complex large-scale events
- Proven track record of pipeline management and closing sales
- Experience in selling event staging or production, with a clear understanding of video, audio, lighting, rigging, scenic, and audiovisual technology and their applications
- Must have a book of business that can be readily converted to sales within the first 12 months of employment
- Proficiency in computer software including Word, Excel, and CRM
