Job Opportunity: Experienced Team Lead (London-based)
Our client is a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships worldwide. We have an immediate requirement for an experienced Team Lead to join our London team. This role is based within our end user’s organization, which continues to invest in state-of-the-art technologies, services, and training.
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional, experienced Team Lead to join an established operation with scope to drive and enhance the service at every opportunity. Experience and seniority of the position will be reflected in the remuneration and benefits package.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Service ownership of all aspects of day-to-day delivery to our clients and partners.
- Staff management of the onsite team(s) and rota.
- Provide comprehensive reporting to the service delivery and account manager.
- Attend monthly and quarterly service review meetings.
- Provide a senior level of technical support at the point of escalation.
- Act as the primary point of contact onsite for our client.
- Coordinate operations between various teams including the technical helpdesk, field service, projects teams, and client liaison.
Onsite Expectations:
- Demonstrate strong leadership and team-building initiatives.
- Onboard and train new staff members.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with individual staff members.
- Conduct weekly meetings to consistently improve onsite service.
- Identify and support training requirements or skills gaps within the team.
- Assist with human resourcing tasks including return to work interviews (RTW), probation reviews, and incident investigations.
- Assist with the recruitment process, including conducting interviews and providing feedback to the recruitment officer.
- Manage performance improvement if required.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of five years of corporate AV support background.
- Ability to mentor, train, and develop team members.
- Knowledge of audio-visual systems and technologies.
- Knowledge in event audio, video, and lighting equipment (both digital and analogue).
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing needs, infrastructure, and evolving business processes.
- Ability to analyze metrics, extract trending data, provide status reports, and offer continuous improvement recommendations.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure to strict deadlines.
- Maintain a client-facing demeanor and remain calm under pressure at all times.
- Excellent communication, time management, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
- Ability to establish productive relationships with people at all levels.
- Ability to use own initiative appropriately.
- Previous experience in managing a team.
- Customer-focused with a strong ability to interact with individuals at all levels in a friendly, welcoming, and helpful manner.
