Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Senior Field Engineer to lead and execute complex AV installations and maintenance in various environments. This critical role requires extensive technical knowledge of AV systems, strong problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in line with AVIXA standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Advanced Installation and Commissioning:
- Lead the installation, configuration, and commissioning of advanced AV systems, including integrated audio, video, control, and networking technologies.
- Ensure installations meet both technical specifications and AVIXA standards.
Technical Leadership and Project Management:
- Supervise and mentor junior field engineers and technicians.
- Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Manage on-site logistics, including resource allocation and scheduling.
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in the field.
- Provide expert-level support for AV systems, including software and hardware troubleshooting.
Client Interaction and Consultation:
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients on-site.
- Provide technical advice and solutions to meet client needs.
- Conduct system training and demonstrations for clients.
Quality Assurance and Documentation:
- Conduct thorough quality checks and system testing to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain detailed documentation of installations, configurations, and service records.
Continuous Learning and Development:
- Stay abreast of emerging AV technologies and industry trends.
- Participate in professional development and obtain relevant certifications (e.g., AVIXA CTS-D or CTS-I).
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies during on-site work.
- Promote a culture of safety and professionalism within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Audiovisual Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in AV field engineering, with a proven track record in leading complex installations.
- Advanced knowledge of AV systems and equipment, including industry-specific software and control systems.
- AVIXA CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I certification is highly preferred.
