Job Title: Audio Visual Commissioning Engineer

Employment Type: Full-timeAbout the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Audio Visual Commissioning Engineer to join our team in London. The role involves ensuring that AV systems are thoroughly tested, configured, and commissioned to meet project specifications and client requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of AV technologies, a strong technical background, and the ability to collaborate with installation teams, project managers, and clients to deliver exceptional results.Key Responsibilities:
- Commission AV systems on-site, ensuring they meet project specifications and client expectations.
- Conduct system testing, calibration, and troubleshooting to achieve optimal performance.
- Configure and program AV equipment, including displays, control systems, audio processors, and video conferencing systems.
- Work closely with installation teams to ensure the successful integration of all system components.
- Perform thorough testing of AV systems to identify and resolve any faults or inconsistencies.
- Document system configurations, test results, and commissioning reports for handover to clients.
- Provide technical support and training to clients during system handovers.
- Collaborate with project managers and designers to refine system designs and resolve technical challenges.
- Stay updated on emerging AV technologies and industry standards.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations during all commissioning activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in commissioning AV systems, preferably in the commercial or high-end residential sectors.
- Strong knowledge of AV equipment and systems, including Crestron, AMX, Extron, DSPs, and AV-over-IP technologies.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during commissioning.
- Familiarity with networking principles and the integration of AV systems within IT infrastructures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients and team members effectively.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-D, or manufacturer-specific certifications) are highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel within London and occasionally to other locations as required.
