About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Audio Visual Field Engineer to join our team in New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in AV systems and experience with on-site installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and the ability to deliver exceptional service to clients across a variety of industries, including corporate, commercial, and high-end residential environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site installation, configuration, and integration of AV systems, including displays, video conferencing systems, sound systems, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and after installations, ensuring optimal system performance.
• Conduct site surveys and pre-installation assessments to identify technical requirements and constraints.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure project specifications and client expectations are met.
• Perform testing and quality assurance on all AV equipment and systems before client handover.
• Provide end-user training and support on AV system operation and functionality.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and system configurations.
• Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and best practices to ensure clients receive cutting-edge solutions.
• Travel within the New York area to client sites as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in the AV industry, with a focus on field installation and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of AV systems, including control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron), audio systems, and video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Familiarity with networking principles and AV-over-IP technologies is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-I, or manufacturer-specific certifications) are highly desirable.
• Full, clean driving license and the ability to travel locally as required.
