We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Installation Engineer to join our growing team. As a leader in the Audio Visual (AV) sector, you will oversee the installation, commissioning, and delivery of AV systems across high-end residential, commercial, and corporate projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in AV systems, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead the installation of AV systems, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to specification.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and system design plans.
- Coordinate with project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide guidance and supervision to junior engineers and subcontractors on-site.
- Install, configure, and test AV equipment, including displays, projectors, sound systems, control systems, and networking components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and after installation.
- Ensure all work complies with company standards, health and safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Conduct client handovers and provide training on system operation when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, including documentation of system configurations and updates.
- Stay updated on the latest AV technologies, products, and industry trends.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as an AV Installation Engineer, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of AV systems, including control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, or Control4), video conferencing solutions, and sound systems.
- Proficiency in installing and configuring AV equipment, including cabling, racks, and power management.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and team members.
- Relevant certifications in AV systems (e.g., CTS, CTS-D, or manufacturer-specific training) are highly desirable.
- Full, clean driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
